Union Public Service Commission invites Applications for the following Posts:.

The Union Public Service Commission would conduct the Conventional Type of Written Examination, for selection to the post of Geologist, Geophysicist and Chemist Group ‘A’ in GSI and Junior Hydro-Geologist (Scientist ‘B’), Group ‘A’ under Central Ground Water Board.. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in written examination, Personality Test followed by interview conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).. Not e : Candidate possessing common qualifications in (i) (a) & (ii) (a) can apply for both. To participated in this UPSC Exam 2014, candidates need UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologists Exam Result, cut off, Merit List, Marks 2014. The Union Public Service Commission, shortly called as UPSC conducts a Competitive Examination Named Geo-Scientist and Geologists Examination for Recruitment to the various positions in the Government sector. (The examination is held for two categories viz.

(1) Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational Institutes established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or (2) Master's degree in Hydrogeology from a recognized University.

Geologist, Group A: 121 Posts. Hydrogeologist (Scientist B):. Organometallic compounds. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card or by using the net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore

. Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe: up to a maximum of five years.
